See What They’re Saying

Praise for Coco Goes to Africa:

Heartwarming Story! This book is so sweet from the perspective of a koala bear. It’s great for anyone who is adopting – for the siblings or for the adopted child. It conveys the apprehension kids feel all the way around and then the joy of the security of family. I love the intro – from one cousin to the new cousin – it’s adorable! Highly recommend this child’s book written and illustrated by a child and her grandma.

Such a cute book! Very sweet book about a talking koala bear named Coco who lives with his human parents. They all travel to Ethiopia to pick up Coco’s new brother Dagim, whom the parents are adopting. The pictures are drawn by a young girl who wrote this book with her grandma because someone in their family really did adopt from Ethiopia. (I learned this from a forward written by the little girl who wrote [the book] – so heartwarming!) It’s a quick and easy read for parents and kids will love it. Highly recommend for not just adoptive families but everyone with little kids!

New Standard for Children’s Books. What a wonderful story for children and parents of adopted children. This book takes a colorful and light-hearted journey as Coco heads across the Atlantic to meet his new brother Dagim. Full of love and wonderment discovering that “family” means more than blood relation!
